Electronic component storage
Hänel storage systems – a decision for the future
LIEBHERR is a family business with some 44,000 employees at sites in 50 countries, making it the world’s largest manufacturer of construction equipment and machinery. The company operates seven Hänel Lean-Lifts® at its site in Colmar, France.
Short routing and fast access to components
Five Hänel Lean-Lifts® store spare parts needed by the service department. Electronic components, hydraulic hoses and preconfigured kits are always available whenever they are needed at the manufacturing facility. Employees retrieve items for production processes directly at the Hänel access points. This saves time because there is no need to walk long distances to find and retrieve items.
Maximum storage capacity within a minimum footprint
The Hänel systems are 47.57 ft / 14.5 m high, and each system can handle loads weighing up to 40 tons. The lifts provide maximum storage capacity within a minimum footprint. The sturdy Hänel multifunction containers feature flexible configuration options and can be set up to store items having various shapes and sizes. Height-
optimized storage and the Hänel multifunction containers ensure that even the most diverse parts can be stored compactly and efficiently, with high cost-effectiveness. Hänel multifunction containers always retain their shape and are absolutely distortion-free.
The LIEBHERR warehouse management system sends the data for pick orders to the Hänel MP 12 N-HostWeb controller. Two employees can pick items simultaneously so that even extremely large orders can be filled quickly. The Hänel compartment and sub-level indicators ensure error-free identification of components and thus prevent any mix-ups. Another advantage for LIEBHERR employees is the outstanding ease of use resulting from the ergonomic provisioning of various components.
Transparent tool storage with high payload capacity
Two Hänel Lean-Lift® systems provide fast access to wrenches, screwdrivers and special tools needed for production processes. The storage systems are 47.57 ft / 14.5 m high and fully utilize the vertical space available in the building – the Lean-Lift® systems have the capacity to store nearly 100 tons.
LIEBHERR France SAS has relied on Hänel storage solutions for many years now and will continue to do so in the future to promote technological innovation and progress!
„Thanks to the Hänel solutions, LIEBHERR has saved up to 60 percent of its storage floor space while optimizing productivity and ergonomics at the same time.“
